pricing

Pricing is highly dependent on the work that needs to be done on your stuffed animal. The prices below are an estimate based on the work, time, and materials required for an average repair; they may be higher or lower depending on the soft toy. I will discuss pricing with you after seeing photos of the repairs that need to be done.
Sometimes, a soft toy will require replacement materials, in which case I will work with you to determine a replacement that looks accurate & pleasing to you, as well as one that fits your budget.

Pricing differs for soft toys made prior to 1980, as their repairs are often much more delicate, materials are sometimes more expensive, and more time must be taken to ensure that your stuffed friend is safely restored!

faq

q. Are there repairs you cannot do?
a. I will inform you promptly if the repairs your stuffed animal requires are beyond
my abilities, or if I believe the toy cannot be repaired without undergoing excessive stress.

q. How long will it take to repair my soft toy?
a. Less intensive repairs like cleaning and restuffing generally take 2-4 weeks, depending
on the number of toys I am working on at the same time. More intensive repairs can take
6-8 weeks or more, due to the time it takes to source appropriate materials for
repairs and the gentle care that must be taken for more delicate toys. I have a strenuous
full-time job in addition to stuffed animal repairs, so I cannot work on them as consistently
as I would like - thank you for your understanding!
q. Do you send progress photos so I can see what is being done?
a. Yes, I send progress photos during each step of the repair! I may ask you questions to
ensure that your repair is being completed the way you want. I will always ask you before
making any type of change that might affect how your toy looks or feels. (Please note that
your stuffed animal's smell will be different if they are cleaned during their restoration.)

q. Can I ship my soft toy? Will you ship it back?
a. Yes, you can ship your soft toy to me as long as you are comfortable with that process.
I recommend purchasing insurance if you want to send your toy through the mail. Please
note that this will increase your repair time, to allow for shipping delays, which are very
common (especially due to COVID and around the holidays).
I recommend using FedEx, this way your package can be shipped to a FedEx store that is
near to me and be held there securely, rather than trusting the mail service with your
precious cargo! This also helps with the potential for package thievery.
For local (SE Wisconsin) repairs, I can coordinate that with you!
q. Do you have a special policy in place for COVID-19?
a. By creating a repair plan, I (the restoration expert) and you (the client) are agreeing that
neither of us have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19, or have shown any symptoms of
COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks. (A list can be found at cdc.gov.) If you are local to me, I can
arrange for a contactless pickup and dropoff of your stuffed animal. At this time, I do not
meet clients in person to communicate about repairs - however, I am happy to set up a
Google Meet or Zoom Meeting.

If you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past, I ask that you wait two weeks from
your last day of quarantine before arranging a shipment, pickup, or dropoff, to ensure that
the soft toy does not come into contact with any viral particles.
